The Maine Municipal Employees Health Trust is committed to containing costs while maintaining quality benefit programs. We are a fully funded, self-insured trust offering a variety of benefit plans to participating employers and their employees.
MEDICAL: The MMEHT offers participating employers a choice of seven health insurance plans to meet the needs of their active employees. Participating employers may offer up to three plans to their employees in accordance with plan guidelines. Click here for an explanation of the MMEHT’s Flexible Choice Option. Please note: The PPO 2500 Plan is a standalone plan, and may not be offered in conjunction with any other health insurance plan.
All of the health insurance plans, with the exception of the Traditional POS plan, offer members the ability to reduce their out-of-pocket expenses by using Providers of Distinction.
