Retiree Medicare Advantage Plan

Employees who are participating in a Health Trust health insurance plan at the time of retirement will be eligible to continue coverage for as long as their former employer is a member of the Health Trust, and as long as premiums are paid.

Retirees who are under the age of 65, and who are not eligible for Medicare, will be provided with the same benefits as active employees of the employer. Retirees who are age 65 and over, and who are on Medicare, will have Medicare as their primary coverage. The Health Trust will then provide these Medicare retirees with a Medicare Advantage Part D Prescription Plan.

Retirees who are age 65 and over, and who have Medicare Parts A& B, will be eligible  to participate in the MMEHT Medicare Advantage / Part D Prescription plan, provided by Anthem.

For more information about the Medicare Advantage Plan, please contact the Health Trust Billing & Enrollment staff at 1-800-452-8786 ext. 2585 or by email at [email protected].  It is very important that you contact the Health Trust prior to your retirement date to avoid any penalties that could be caused by late enrollment.

Retiree Medicare Advantage Plan

Retirees who continue coverage under any of the MMEHT Health Plans receive a Basic Life Insurance benefit of $3,000. An equal amount of Accidental Death & Dismemberment coverage is also provided, until the retiree’s 70th birthday. Accidental Death & Dismemberment coverage for retirees terminates at age 70.
